Warehouse - Parts Counter/Stores Clerk

Flying Colours Corp. is seeking an energetic and highly organized individual to fill the role of Stores Clerk.  This position is located at our facility in Peterborough, ON, CA.

Job Description
The Stores Clerk performs a wide variety of activities related to the receipt, processing, storage, distribution and moving of parts, supplies, materials, and equipment, which include:

• Receive and sort incoming parts and supplies;
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in a warehouse, tool room, supply room or other area;
• Process incoming requisitions and issue or distribute parts and supplies for internal usage;
• Maintain records of orders and the amount, kind and location of parts and supplies on hand using manual and computerized inventory system;
• Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies;
• Conduct cycle-counts and quarterly and year-end inventory verifications
• Other duties as assigned.

Stores Clerks may also perform shipping/receiving duties that include:

• Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, custom forms and other shipping documents manually or by computer.
• Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.
• Loading and unloading of goods from trucks.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
• Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
• Maintain internal computerized record-keeping systems.
• Deliver parts/materials to internal departments and/or parts counter.
• Perform inventory counts on a regular basis.
• May operate forklift or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• 1-3 years of parts counter or warehousing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to read, speak and understand English
• Forklift license preferred.

• Knowledge of general stockroom procedures and processes
• Ability to perform business math and demonstrate success in managing inventory
• Ability to follow written instructions and demonstrated procedures
• A high degree of accuracy receiving parts, counting parts and labeling
• Superior organization skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills are critical

• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
