Training Coordinator

Flying Colours Corp. is seeking an energetic and highly organized individual to fill the role of Training Coordinator.  This position is located at our facility in Peterborough, ON, CA.

Job Description
The Training Coordinator will provide the coordination and/or facilitation of company and regulatory training initiatives as well as administrative and coordination support for all company and regulatory processes.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and control documentation of completed training and core competency matrix including Training Database(s).
  • Develop and maintain Training Manuals, Training Plans, Multimedia Visual Aids and other Educational Materials.
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental training program's effectiveness and provide reports as necessary.
  • Evaluate team members and instructor competencies.
  • Work in concert with Senior Management team in recommending training for Certification staff.
  • Work in concert with department managers to complete initial training assessments and the development of training plans for all new hires/transfer  
  • Follow-up to ensure completion of training plans by end of probation period; setting targets for training not completed in a timely manne
  • Track and monitor recurrent training schedules. Advise department managers of required/overdue training.
  • Conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factor

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Training and certification in Adult Education preferred.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing needs assessments and training programs, as well as, facilitating training in the workplace.
  • Understanding of AS9100 and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Intermediate level with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Aviation experience an asset.

  • Strong presentation, oratory, and verbal skills.
  • Ability to identify developmental needs of employees and to provide coaching, mentoring, and other help,
  • Excellent time management and project management skills.

  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
  • Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to staff privacy.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be able to handle changes and make sound decisions.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, ability to work under pressure, extraordinary diligence, solution-oriented way of working.
  • Ability to work autonomously and provide progress reports.
