Due to continued growth in our businesses, we have a requirement for an Aircraft Technical Records Clerk to join our Team at our Peterborough, Ontario location.

 

 

General Accountability

The Aviation Technical Records Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft technical data is recorded, maintained and logged correctly in accordance with Transport Canada regulations, AS9100, and Flying Colours Corp. requirements.

 

Specific Accountabilities

Primary duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Daily collection and audit of maintenance work packages.  Audits ensure accurate data entry, compliance with all time-limited maintenance requirements.
  • Reports to appropriate department for incomplete or inaccurate records, follow-up tracking for corrections and recording of all issues.
  • Enters maintenance actions into approved database as required by the Maintenance Policy Manual.
  • File, retrieve and maintain hard copy and digital files for maintenance documents and parts tags as prescribed by the Maintenance Policy Manual.
  • Perform other duties as delegated by the Maintenance Manager/Tech Records Supervisor.

 

Experience and Education Requirements

Incumbents will have a post-secondary education and a minimum of three years' experience in records management, ideally in an aviation or manufacturing environment is preferred.

 

Skills/Abilities

  • Application knowledge in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent keyboarding speed and accuracy.
  • Previous experience with aviation tracking software an asset.
  • Effective and efficient multi-tasking abilities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Company personnel.
  • Must be flexible and organized with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

 

Working Conditions

  • Frequent or occasional periods of time are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about.
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area which is air conditioned or climate controlled. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion, e.g.: moderate background noise levels.
  • Frequent need to give concentrated attention, either hearing or seeing, to what is happening and work being performed.
  • Frequent pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands exists, including working extra hours to meet deadlines as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

 

Working Hours

Standard Hours: Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
