GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The Supervisor operates under general direction and is accountable for supporting the performance objectives below.  Supervisors are responsible for providing direction and coaching to employees and ensuring that the department is well organized and coordinated overall as it respects:

  • Completion Schedules (project progress against time and costing allowances and budgets)
  • Quality (snags, RFE's, human resources performance, turnaround, equipment)
  • Health and Safety (accidents, incidents, perceived or actual H&S concerns and failures)

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Bid hours and parts for squawks.
  • Interact with customers to meet their needs.
  • Comply with actual work on aircraft.
  • Provide training and direction for all technicians.
  • Manpower and labor scheduling.
  • Training and direction for subordinate employees.
  • Improve on existing techniques and procedures to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
  • Procures required materials and ensures proper documentation.
  • Opens work orders, approves squawks, orders parts/materials, adjusts time, signs off, inspects and completes squawks.

 EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Five or more years' experience with interior installation and repair. Meet prerequisite of Lead Technician. High school diploma with course work in skilled crafts and trades, or an equivalent combination of relevant education/experience.  Certified under FAR Part 65.

 SKILLS/COMPENTENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent planning, organization and coordination skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, equipment and materials related to the shop environment.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must possess advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Corridor and Microsoft Word and Excel
