Senior Scheduler

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the sub-level scheduling, capacity analysis, and estimating for all aircraft projects- Completions, Refurbishments, and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO); and coordination among upstream and downstream departments.

A Senior Scheduler's core objective is the creation and maintenance of schedule tools that allow departments to track and monitor their progress on each project.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Regular analysis of the critical path of each project to mitigate schedule risk and identify areas where schedules can be improved.

  2. Communicate capacity and schedule constraints along with solutions to the constraints to sales, operations, and senior management.

  3. Creates customer schedules as needed to meet contractual requirements or customer requests.

  4. Creating and maintaining Master level schedule (Slot plan) for completions and refurbishment projects.

  5. Creating and maintaining all sub-level schedules (CPT, PT, SRP) consistent with the master schedule, project requirements and management direction for all aircraft projects (completions, refurbishments, Paint & MRO).

  6. Facilitating communication and dissemination of business information is critical to project success, beginning with project kickoff through project completion.

  7. Provide robust facility capacity analysis and planning, including forecast (EAC/ETC) data.

  8. Support executive strategic planning with scheduling and capacity data, including "what if'' simulations.

  9. Communicating and coordinating with the necessary departments, Integrated Product Teams (IPT) representatives and departmental contacts as required including resolution of issues and process improvements concerning production planning.

  10. Responsible for overseeing the accurate cost estimating of future aircraft projects (completions, refurbishments, Paint & MRO).

  11. Facilitating improvements and efficiencies throughout production and supply chain activities.

  12. Developing competencies within the product lines, work centers, and/or department that focus on technical skills and process improvement, developing an understanding of our overall business (cost and asset) management objectives, team communication and problem-solving techniques, and personal motivation to achieve requirements established for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in quality, schedule and cost performance.

  13. Other duties not specifically covered herein but otherwise assigned.

This position operates in compliance with all Administrative, Emergency Response, Health & Safety, Quality Assurance policies, AS9100, and procedures as outlined in Company policy and Repair Station Manual(s).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:

  1. An Associate's Degree in Business Administration and/or combination of education and equivalent experience equaling 3 years of experience in a Planning Role.

  2. A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a planning or aircraft maintenance environment.

  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of an MRP (Material Resources Planning) system strongly preferred; Corridor software a plus.

  1. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Pivot Table, and Report creation.

  2. Negotiation and influencing skills preferred but not required.

  3. Basic math functions with whole numbers, decimals and fractions and the ability to know how and when to use them.

  4. Key competencies related to working with a diverse group of individuals and departments are desirable.

  5. Frequent need to give concentrated attention, with one or two senses at a time, where stimuli are changing.

  6. Occasional direct and indirect pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.

  7. Willing to travel domestically and internationally when required.

The location where this position functions is in a warehouse environment which is subject to constant exposure to loud noise, potential contact with hazardous/non-hazardous waste material, and other safety hazards such as production tools, aircraft monuments, interior components: divans, chairs, other cabinets, small and medium-sized parts, etc.
