GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The Project Coordinator is the Primary and single point of contact for the customer, sales and operations.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Project Coordinator shall be responsible to the Director of Sales for, but not limited to, the following job tasks:

  • Primary and single point of contact for the customer, sales and operations.
  • Maintains contact with the customer to ensure that all needs are known and communicated to applicable people.
  • Participates in pre-planning meetings with all departments, as required prior to and during aircraft work scope.
  • Oversees pre-planning to ensure that the work is planned and any required materials are ordered.
  • Works with sales as they hand off the project prior to aircraft input.
  • Meets aircraft on arrival and coordinates after hour's arrival reception.
  • Ensures that customer is promptly debriefed by technical staff and follows up on the status of approved work.
  • Promotes and nurtures facility and customer relationships.
  • Ensures that all squawks are estimated, explains squawks to customer and procures sign off on all squawks from customer. Obtains approval for overtime from customer if needed.
  • Manages the creation, submission and collection of deposits and progress payments as required per terms of contract. Assists accounting of collection of final payment
  • Chairs the pre-arrival, customer arrival briefing and departure debrief meetings as needed.
  • Performs regular reviews of work orders to verify that project is on track.
  • Monitors the processing of the aircraft work order to insure accurate timely invoicing.
  • Performs and/or coordinates and monitors all customer follow up activities, confirming that the customer is happy.
  • Promotes teamwork and cooperation with all departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provides assistance and frequent status reports to the customer while work is in progress.
  • Assists operations to ensure that the aircraft is returned on time, on budget, free of discrepancies and clean.
  • Investigates and resolves customer complaints and billing disputes relative to previous visits.
  • May travel to customer locations to establish and/or maintain good working relationships and generate sales.
  • Entertain customer as needed while customer is on premises.
  • May perform other duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an MRO / Completion environment.
  • Knowledge Global, Challenger 850/605 and CRJ 700/900 aircraft required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant college program certificates, or equivalent combination of experience and education in Aviation preferred.
  • Airframe and Powerplant License and/or FCC License, or equivalent, preferred.

SKILLS/COMPENTENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must understand the concepts of business process that are common at Flying Colours
  • Must have a thorough working knowledge of Corridor.
  • Proven ability to work and communicate with management, technicians and customers in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to prioritize competing demand, multitask and work within tight time constraints.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram from and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must possess the ability to remain positive and congenial in stressful situations.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must be willing to travel when required.
  • Must be willing to work unusual and long hours.
  • Must be willing to be on call 24/7.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project helpful. Willingness to take classes as needed to further knowledge.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to perform routine duties with minimal supervision.
