Human Resources Generalist

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides professional support within the Human Resources department through complex and specialized generalist tasks including managing recruitment process, onboarding and offboarding of employees and contract staff, and supporting a full range of human resources functions for all personnel. Ensures company is compliant with all state and federal regulations.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Recruiting

  1. Responsible for identifying, recruiting and successfully delivering all levels of talent to hiring supervisors for both aviation specific and non-aviation related positions. Builds relationships with hiring supervisors by consulting and advising on overall hiring process, collaborates on job requisition details and creation, and advises hiring supervisors on effective candidate assessment/interview techniques.

  2. Effectively screen and possibly phone interview candidates to assess skill & cultural fit. Ensure positive applicant experience throughout the pre-screen, interview, and hiring process.

  3. Update and maintain the Applicant Tracking System in a timely manner ensuring that all information is current.

  4. Ensure regulatory compliance for all recruitment

  5. Ensure compliance with our Temporary Services Agreement for contract.

Onboarding / Offboarding

  1. Prepares New Hire Packets for new employees. Create new employee personnel

  2. Conducts New Hire Orientation and collects New Hire Paperwork, ensures records are current and all information is

  3. Performs Human Resource Information System(s) (HRIS) data entry and ensures accuracy of

  4. Assigns CBT courses to new hires within Learning Management System.

  5. Support with Facility and Badge Security, including managing annual renewal for Airport Badge.

  6. Responsible for all facets of terminating personnel to include but not limited to: terminating personnel in HRIS system, collecting property (to include airport badges), ensuring appropriate termination paperwork has been completed and appropriate personnel are notified, terminating benefits, notifying COBRA vendor.

Generalist HR

  1. Maintains Human Resources display boards and legal posting requirements throughout the various

  2. Assist in providing oversight for worker's compensation case management on-site, to include but not limited to obtaining, tracking, submitting all required paperwork for each claim.

  3. Support as needed with tracking and supporting persons exercising their rights under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), as well as providing and receiving all relevant paperwork associated with FMLA in conjunction with our Short- and Long-Term Disability Programs.

  4. Support as needed with for all benefit related issues including communications and notices, materials, census data, invoices, open enrollment, ACA compliance, other government benefits

  5. Assist with Immigration Paperwork by providing support to Manager, Human Resources Operations.

  6. Support as needed with for visa process related to foreign employees including interaction with legal counsel, obtaining all necessary documents, ensuring compliance with federal rules, etc.

FAA Related Business Support

  1. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the FAA drug and alcohol program for newly hired safety sensitive personnel and quarterly random drug screen(s).

  2. Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by Director, Quality Operations, other technical staff or FCC personnel.

  3. Coordinate and track all Training program information and data for department and associated FAA Business related files.

  4. Coordinate and track all PPE testing information and data for department and associated FAA Business related

  5. Other duties not specifically covered herein but otherwise assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:

  1. Five years in Human Resources Administrative Support position

  2. Knowledge of Human Resource

  3. PHR Certificate

  4. Associate's degree in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or

  5. A combination of education and/or experience will be considered

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Ability to communicate and advise management level employees while maintaining a high level of professionalism and strict confidentiality.

  2. Pragmatic problem-solving skills.

  3. High standard of attention to detail.

  4. Solid commitment to employee service.

  5. Expert Microsoft Office skills in Word, Outlook, and

  6. Must have the ability to manage time, multi-task and prioritize duties, work independently and be self-

  7. Must possess the ability to excel in a business environment that is controlled by deadlines and

  8. Must have experience working in an HRIS system(s), including Applicant Tracking and Learning Management System(s).

  9. Must have experience working with diverse populations, to include persons from various backgrounds and skillsets.

  10. Must have good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
