Document Control Coordinator - Peterborough Location

Due to continued growth in our businesses, we have a requirement for a Document Control Coordinator to join our Team at our Peterborough, Ontario location.

 

                                                                                  

General Accountability

To assist our Engineering department with data control and information flow between departments and suppliers.

 

 

Specific Accountabilities

  • Maintain a database of engineering documents.
  • Review drawing lists against (BOM) bill of materials.
  • Print and distribute drawings to the shop floor.
  • Acquire a basic understanding of data control and information flow in order to facilitate communication between the engineering department and subsequent departments.
  • Performs work in a productive, diligent, careful and safe manner.
  • Complete any special projects or other tasks as required or assigned by department leads.
  • May be assigned to other areas of operations, based on business or customer requirements.
  • Works in compliance with all Administrative, Health & Safety policies and procedures as per legislative requirements and as outlined in Company policies.

 

 

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or equivalent;
  • Experience in related role or one requiring the coordinator, organization and administration of information, data, documents or similar materials.

 

 

Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet research
  • Strong administration, organization, planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work both independently and within team environment.
  • Must have flexibility to adapt to changing demands and schedules, including needs of the organization.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain effective relationships with internal personnel and suppliers.
  • Ability to understand and follow direction and procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

 

 

Working Hours

This is a full-time (FT) position where hours will change due to business operational needs and flexibility is required with an occasional requirement to work overtime and weekends.  At present, the standard hours of work are 8am 5pm, Monday to Friday.

 

 

Working Conditions

  • Regular or occasional need to give close attention, either hearing or seeing, to what is happening.
  • May remain seated for extended periods of time with the opportunity to occasionally stand/walk when required or needed.
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area which is air conditioned or climate controlled. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion, e.g.: moderate noise.
  • Work environment can be repetitious / unchanging at times. There can also be pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy requirements or similar demands.
