Building Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible perform custodial duties, minor maintenance, HVAC, and other miscellaneous duties to ensure our buildings and grounds are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.

The Building Maintenance Technician's core objective is to perform custodial, electrical, access control and HVAC maintenance, anticipating problems before they occur.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Evaluating, repairing and maintaining electrical, HVAC systems, plumbing and custodial needs within the various facilities.

2. Communicating with building maintenance about any work that requires outside expert assistance.

3. Receiving and responding to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues on their premises.

4. Working with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects.

5. Maintaining corporate safety procedures at all times and comply with access control regulations.

6. Helping evacuate building in the event of an emergency.

7. Maintaining fire, carbon monoxide, smoke, and other safety systems within the structure.

8. Cleaning offices, lunchrooms, stairs, foyer, and production areas, up to and including (sweep, wash, mop, buff floors, and vacuum carpeted areas).

9. Ensuring a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency and workplace safety.

10. Other duties not specifically covered herein but otherwise assigned.

This position operates in compliance with all Administrative, Emergency Response, Health & Safety, Quality Assurance policies, AS9100, and procedures as outlined in Company policy and Repair Station Manual(s).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:

1. High school diploma required

2. A minimum of 1 years of experience in supply chain, warehouse, or material environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

2. Ability to understand and follow directions with minimal supervision.

3. Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and written.

4. Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.

5. Multi-tasking with exceptional communication and time management skills

6. Key competencies related to working with a diverse group of individuals and departments are desirable.

7. Frequent need to give concentrated attention, with one or two senses at a time, where stimuli are changing.

8. Occasional direct and indirect pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.

The work environment described here is representative of those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.

The location where this position functions is in a warehouse environment which is subject to constant exposure to loud noise, potential contact with hazardous/non-hazardous waste material, and other safety hazards such as production tools, aircraft monuments, interior components: divans, chairs, other cabinets, small and medium-sized parts, etc.
