Responsible for the maintenance applications associated with jet aircraft. Incumbents will need to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in and a meticulous work ethic to guide the repair, modification, and inspection of aircraft structures, systems, and equipment.

A Senior A&P Maintenance Technician's core objective is to inspect, service, repair, and maintain aircraft and mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and related systems and components to ensure airworthiness, using the approved design, engineering, and FAA requirements.


  1. Visually inspect, assess, and assist in repairs and modifications to aircraft structures, systems, and equipment.

  2. Remove, install, and functionally test aircraft components.

  3. Dismantle and assemble aircraft systems for repair and overhaul.

  4. Remove aircraft control systems, check rigging, and reassemble.

  5. Diagnostically troubleshoot aircraft defects and carry out corrective action.

  6. Ensure that all maintenance activities are controlled on aircraft that are receiving maintenance within the company's facilities and that technical records are originated and retained with respect to all inspections and maintenance functions.

  7. Complete records of work done to sustain an accurate record system.

  8. Able to work in confined spaces and elevated heights when required.

  9. Must perform work in accordance with all FAA guidelines.

  10. Follow methods set forth by the company's Repair Station and Quality Control Manual(s).

  11. Able to use a variety of hand and pneumonic tools.

  12. A wide and comprehensive familiarity with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

  13. Use of strong mathematical knowledge to accurately measure complete project ensuring quality and precision.

  14. Foster a positive team environment and demonstrate a continual willingness to learn while serving as a team member.

  15. Collaborate with department Crew Lead(s) to troubleshoot engineering design discrepancies within the prints. Following and working from approved engineering drawings as well as other written instructions and design specifications.

  16. Participate in in-process data collection and team problem-solving. Exposure to basic Continuous Improvement tools/principles - 5S, Data-Driven Decision Making, Know Your Customer and Communication Boards.

  17. Other duties not specifically covered herein but otherwise assigned.

  1. Completed training in a vocation or technical school. Airframe and Power Plant certificate required.

  2. Minimum of 5 year's basic aircraft maintenance experience within the aerospace / aviation industry. Moderate understanding of general job aspects a plus.

  3. Must have successfully and proficiently completed a variety of work-related tasks achieving high quality standards.

  4. Excellent planning, organization, coordination skills, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail will be a plus.

  5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.


  1. Basic math functions with whole numbers, decimals and fractions and the ability to know how and when to use them.

  2. Key competencies related to working with a diverse group of individuals and departments are desirable.

  3. Frequent need to give concentrated attention, with one or two senses at a time, where stimuli are changing.

  4. Occasional direct and indirect pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.

  5. Willing to complete on the job training (OJT) in accordance with FCC Repair Station Manual.

  6. Willing to travel domestically and internationally when required.
